It all started with my niece's first communion. The family was bustling with excitement, and I wanted to contribute something special to the celebration. As a devoted aunt and passionate home baker, I decided to create a sweet table that would dazzle our guests and make the day unforgettable.

In the days leading up to the event, my kitchen became a whirlwind of flour, sugar, and creativity. I spent countless hours perfecting recipes and decorating treats, ensuring every detail was just right. From intricately designed cookies to decadent cakes adorned with shimmering sprinkles, I poured my heart into every confection.

When the day of the communion arrived, the sweet table stole the show. Guests marveled at the beautiful display, and their delighted smiles and compliments filled me with joy. The success of that sweet table sparked an idea: why not share my passion for baking with others?

As I began to contemplate starting my own home bakery, I knew I needed a name that reflected both my love for baking and my personality. Inspiration struck as I thought about my other passion—belly dancing. The vibrant costumes, the glittering sequins, and the joy of dancing on stage all mirrored the excitement I felt while baking. And so, Glitter Tops Cakes and Cookies was born.

In the early days, I started small, baking for friends and family and sharing my creations on social media. Word quickly spread about my delicious and beautifully decorated treats. Each order was an opportunity to experiment with new designs and flavors, and I relished the challenge of bringing my clients' visions to life.

I got my Food Handling Certificate, my home bakery grew steadily, with orders Slowly coming in. I equipped myself with the best tools and ingredients and started renting space at a Commercial Kitchen. Every day, I woke up excited to create something new, whether it was a Cookie for a wedding, Cake Pop for a birthday, or a custom order for a special event.

The name Glitter Tops became synonymous with not just delicious sweets, but also with the joy and sparkle that went into every creation. I made it my mission to ensure that each product not only tasted amazing but also looked like a work of art. The glittery toppings became my signature.

Looking back, I am grateful for that fateful communion day and the spark it ignited. What started as a loving gesture for my niece turned into a fulfilling and thriving business. Glitter Tops Cakes and Cookies is more than just a bakery; it is a reflection of my passions, a blend of artistry and flavour, and a source of happiness for both me and my customers.
